THE ARTIST

Alfred Arthur Brunel-Neuville , (1852-1941)

Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville is a French painter born in Passy on December 8, 1852 and died in Sèvres on February 5, 1941, he is buried in the Montmartre cemetery in Paris.

He was a student of Léon Brunel.

Brunel De Neuville was a French genre painter best known for his still lifes of fruit and his depictions of cats.


A member of the Society of French Artists, he took part in its exhibitions from 1879 and became a member in 1907.

His works can be seen in the museums of Béziers, Brest, Château Thierry and Louviers.
